RULES

1. PERSONAL BUOYANCY
No person is allowed on the water in or on any craft without adequate personal buoyancy. This personal buoyancy shall be at least a waistcoat type buoyancy aid appropriate to body weight and in good condition,. Parents are strongly advised to ensure that young children wear adequate personal buoyancy if playing near the water edge.

2. SAFETY CRAFT
Safety craft are available at all times, but are only manned during sailing days or other organized periods.

3. RESPONSIBILITY
All people take to the water entirely at their own risk and the club cannot be held responsible for any loss and damage to persons or property howsoever caused. Every owner/user warrants the suitability of his/her sailing craft for use on the water. The safety of the craft and her entire management shall be the sole responsibility of the owner / user who must ensure that the craft and crew are adequate to face the conditions that may arise whilst using the water.

4. LIABILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE
Members of the Club, their guests or visitors may use the Club premises and any other facilities of the Club entirely at their own risk and impliedly acknowledge that the Club will not accept any liability for any damage to or loss of property belonging to Members their guests or visitors to the Club.

5. LOSS OR DAMAGE OF EQUIPMENT
Any club equipment lost or damaged should be reported to the club manager.  Compensation shall be determined by the Lilongwe Sailing Club Committee.

6. CHILDREN
Parents should closely supervisor their children and are responsible for their children’s actions and safety.  Parents pay special attention when children are playing near the water and boats.

7. DOGS
Dogs should be kept under control at all times. All dogs to be kept on a leash in club grounds. Any fouling is to be cleared up by the person responsible for the dog.
